 Unable to create connection

I have two webapps connecting via jdbc to the same mySQL database. About once a week one of the webapps (always the same one) gives me a errormessage about not being able to create the connection. The database is available and the other webapp works fine. I have to restart Resin (servlet container) or redeploy the failing webapp to get rid of the errrormessage. Nothing useful in the error log.

Any ideas?

Hard to say. But one of the reasons could be that your connection pool ran out of connections. That is you don't close your connections somewhere.
