Hi, I've recently become a codecharge biggot. Great software, although I have a lot to lear about it. I commend the developers who put this great software together.
I am inquiring as how to propigate a select list from the database where if the value is contained in the record for an edit I want to use it, and if we're in the process of doing an add I want to propigate it from another table.
What';s the best method for doing this?
Also, is codecharge compatiable with the latest release of frontpage? I'm actually a Netobjects user, however I'm not against using FP for development of CCS applications, especially untill Netobjects gets their act together on database development which is just now in it's infancy.
If CCS is already installed how do you get it installed as a plugin to FP?
Thanks!
Dave

Hi,
A listbox almost always is used to show values from another table. Therefore the listbox has a set of properties where you can specify which other table to use and which values to display.
You can find an example at: http://docs.codecharge.com/studio/html/QuickStart/Creat...stBoxProps.html
CodeCharge Studio is compatible with the latest version of MS FrontPage. You could ininstall CCS and re-install again to haveit installed as the FrontPage Add-In.

Thanks, I have figured out how to propigate the select list from the database with no problem.
The issue I have is based on the function I want to propigate it from different tables. Example, I have a table that contains the states/provinces from around the world, this table is used when adding records to the database. However when I edit a record I want the select list to be filled in from the actual record instead of the states/provinces table...
