At my wprkplace, when I surf these forums (this site), I get blank page with just this message:
"Sorry
But you are not welcome on this site"
But when I VNC to my home computer and surf here I can get in!
Am I unworthy? What prvents me from getting in -- is it an action by a miffed System Admin? Or is there some dark force at work?

Look like your company firewall preventing you from accessing this site, since this is a forum site some company policies restricted their employees to any forum sites.
You can ask your IS department to exclude this site from the blocking sites list. Be prepare to tell them your reason. Hey if you use CCS for work then you should be fine.

I am the IS department -- and I've never seen any problems getting onto other forums.

Okay, I just had a conversation with myself... I told Me that I was doing a great job, and deserve a raise. So I gave myself one. Thanks, Me!
I see that I can now get onto the Forums from work -- d oyou suppose the keepers of this site saw my post and fixed something? (I doubt my firewall has a page configured to tell me "I'm not welcome on this site" when it's not properly configured... that doesn't seem like a Netopia router message).
So, thanks to the powers that be.

You probably were in a C-block of IPs that were being banned, or they banned
your login. Probably a minor faux pas that has since been corrected.
Or, you simply are not welcome on this site
