Hi,
I'm writting a customer contact system and have a list of people, each person has a multiple categories that they can be classified with (person table, link table, category table i.e. many-to-many) a person also belongs to a business premise and each business premise can have a load of categories......
So, I'm using an editable grid to add people to business addresses, no problem. I also use the same screen to search for people by name across the whole list i.e. not just within a particular business.
I want to also search the editable grid of people by their CATEGORY it's a pretty straight forward query BUT as soon as I get complicated with the query insert, update and delete get turned off.......
MY QUESTION IS........
Is it possible to use a complex query (with parameters) to filter the list shown in an editable grid but still keep all the automatic insert update delete support?
Hope you can give me some pointers.....

Yep. The Custom Inserts/Updates/Deletes are automatic and usually can be setup instantly. I just responded to your other message at http://forums.codecharge.com/posts.php?post_id=48479
