Hi,
I'm writting a customer contact system and have a list of people, each person
has a multiple categories that they can be classified with (person table, link
table, category table i.e. many-to-many) a person also belongs to a business
premise and each business premise can have a load of categories......
So, I'm using an editable grid to add people to business addresses, no problem.
I also use the same screen to search for people by name across the whole list
i.e. not just within a particular business.
I want to also search the editable grid of people by their CATEGORY it's a
pretty straight forward query BUT as soon as I get complicated with the query
insert, update and delete get turned off.......
MY QUESTION IS........
Is it possible to use a complex query (with parameters) to filter the list
shown in an editable grid but still keep all the automatic insert update delete
support?
Hope you can give me some pointers.....
