I'm new to this software. Seems like it would be useful, but after setting up my connection string, when I create a grid, or anything really, it always displays No records. I tried following the tutorial. I set up a connection to an access database as well as my SQL server. I know the tables are not empty. Is there something else I am suppose to do?

Are you using the Grid Builder or just the "Insert Grid" function? Use the
Builder, have it select and generate the datasource (you can even use the
Query Builder's "review" button to see the data. You may have a data source
defined but not "connected" to any of your database tables. Using the
Builder should avoid this pitfall.
Also the database used to design the page is probably NOT the one being used
to view the page (live site). Maybe the live site is using an empty
database. Selection of this is a Project Settings (see the CCS menu) that
selects the database for design and for runtime. Check that these are set
up correctly.
As a last possibility, it may be that the data source you defined results in
a database query that simply includes zero rows from the tables used.

Don,
I am using the builder. Maybe its that it's not using the same database?? I'm using Win XP right now. I haven't put it on the web server yet. But I can't find anywhere to specify the database to use when I view the page, other than the connection I setup under project settings. When I run the builder I see my tables and fields, but the preview, as well as a live view, says no record.

Good point. You do need to setup both the Design and Server connections. Click on the "Server" tab in the Connection dialog, or search for Server Connection in the Help.

I would try "process of elimination" - start taking away databases until it
complains that it can't be found. You first need to determine where it's
going to for data. Try this both in the Query Builder and when opening the
web page.
Failing that, maybe it's the choice of database driver? I prefer OLEDB for
Access. I might be able to determine something if you post just the
connection's Class_Initialize method so I can see how you are set up.
WARNING: this may contain user/pass info so if you post the code pay
attention to this. Compare the one in your development folder and the one
on the server. Post both if they are differerent.
