displaying directory when searching products

HI,
I have 2 tables
Products: p_sku, p_name, p_dir_id
Directory: dir_id, dir_name, dir_parentid

If I use a search form to search Products I want all the low level directories to be displayed.

How do I pass all p_dir_id's from the Product grid to another grid and select all corresponding Directories by dir_id?
