Hi,

I have a website that get's all it's text from an SQL-Server database. Mainly for multi-language support and the ability of users to easily update pages themselves.

I have the site working in Portuguese, English and Spanish and am working on the Russian version.

The website is coded manually by hand. But all the WebAdmin screens are created with CCS.

My question is:
If I copy and paste my Russian translated text into a field input box generated by CCS, when I save the text picks up the Unicode equivalents.

If I copy and paste the same text straight into my database through Enterprise manager I have no problem.

Is there anything I can set in the HTML to expect UTF 8 . I've tried Russian as an Input Locale and also tried responseEncoding and requestEncoding set to UTF-8 neither work.

I did read that the default FORM collection, if used, does not return UTF-8 encoding even if it's set in the page BUT the ITEM collection of a FORM does, do you think this is the problem?

Any ideas please as I'd rather not input the whole Russian site through enterprise manager or re-code my input screens by hand.

Thanks
TED
