I just found the "Birthday" announcement from YesSoftware in the HotMail spam-filter...

I hurried over to the site and found that the good old CodeCharge is no longer among the products.

I have read some of the articles about CodeCharge not being asked for, but I wonder if Yes has really thought this over. I think they could have kept an interest for both products if they wanted to, but I think they actually wanted to kill CC. It was a slow death, cause it started in late summer 2002 when they removed some of their plans for the future versions from their website. I remember one plan being editable grids...

I just regret that I didn't see it coming and took the CC path instead of the CCS path back then. Now it seems I have spent so much time learning how to bend CC the way I want it that I don't have any strength left to port my application to CCS. Nor do I like the idea of having my two non-profit orgs spend the $:s on CCS.

I had to take the CCS plunge. I really liked CC. I perceived it to be much
easier to use than CCS. After much deliberation, I invested the time to get
up to speed in CCS. The learning curve is steeper than CC, but I am very
pleased with my decision. The environment is much more robust. Commit 30
days to getting up to speed in the new environment and you will not want to
go back.
