Hi,

I was wondering how the upload file (picture) function work. I have a real estate table where I would like to add picture field.

However, I would like to store only the url to the upload folder on the server for each listing_id.

I am not sure why I have to set up the TEMP path to the folder. Can someone please provide me with a quick approach to this?

Thanks

Roman

It works exactly as you described. The file is uploaded to a folder and the link is saved in a database field, for example picture field.

The TEMP folder is used because if there are problems during file upload then the upload may not be completed. For example the user may interrupt the file upload, or forget to enter some other required information on the same page, so that you will display an error message and reject the uploaded file.
You can occasionally clean the TEMP folder to remove all such files, so that your system stays clean.
