CCS 2.3
Oracle Enterprise 9.2
I can connect and use the database via JDBC (JBuilder).
But when I try to test connection in CCS using
[ JDBC Driver: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
Database URL: jdbc:oracle:thin:@host:1521:db1 ]
I get error 'Test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider. ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name'.
Thanks in advance.

Looks like this error message is not related to CodeCharge Studio, as it is issued by Oracle and quite common. Please see: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=ORA-12154+%22could...service+name%22 http://groups.google.com/groups?q=ORA-12154%20%22could%...lr=&sa=N&tab=wg

You also should know that you cannot use JDBC connections at design-time. They are for run-time only, and are configured on the Server tab of the Connection dialog. But for design-time you need Oracle OLE DB or ODBC drivers.

for design-time, if i have Oracle Provide for OLE-DB as OLE DB Provider, what type of Data Source should I use, sid or sid.domain?
do i have to make ODBC connecton ahead of time?
