I have page_one and page_two
I added a button_1 at the bottom of page_one

When the user clicks on button_1, page_two should load.
No validation necessary.

For button_1, I have:
Operation: Insert
Return Page: page_two.ccp
Remove Parameters:
Convert URL to: None
Default Button: No
Enable Validation: No

But I click on button_1, nothing happens.
Why does page_two not load?
What did I do wrong?

Did this stop working, or has this never worked?

If it used to work, then your HTML code may have been altered
to where form submission is not working any longer.

If it never worked, then try rebuilding the record form on page 1
and then seeing if the page submission works and you're directed
to page 2.

A button actually does a form "submit" action. If the button is not located
within a form, it will do nothing. If it is within a form, but has no
action assigned to it, it probably will still do nothing but I haven't
actually tried that to confirm it. Of course, it does have an "onclick"
event regardless of it's position, so you could include client-side
javascript to perform some action, form or no form.

So what this means is a Button has a completely different behavior than what
you get with a Link. Although, to the casual observer, they might seem to
do the same thing - they do not. You can easily define CSS appearance
elements that make a Link look a lot like a button, mainly by specifying the
Border attribute.

Thanks klwillis and DonB.

This button has never worked.
Given what DonB says - now I see why that is.

This page_one already has 3 parts:
1. a small search form to find record(s)
2. a grid that displays the results of the search
3. a small form that does add/delete/update for these records

Then I have 5 labels at the bottom of the page followed by this button_1.
