Hi and thanks in advance.
I am trying to set up our corporate intranet using the portal template using the JSP version.
We have a Win2k3 server running Sun One web server ver.6.1.
After uploading and unzipping all files to a location, according to the next step, I was supposed to change the paths to the following lines:
static final String DBDriver =" "
static final String strConn =" "
I have even installed J2SDK to make sure that the "jdbc-odbc driver" is installed. I also set up ODBC as system DSN.
I don't know what to enter in these lines, since I tried "sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver" and "jdbc:odbc:portal" (which is what I called the DSN), yet it would not work.
Can anyone tell me what to do?
I would be forever grateful!
Thanks

8-) uses in coneccion, server name = (local)
.- when you move your application you do not have to change the name of the server

.- when you do conneccion with the data base, you must do it
connection string, is better, and CCS knows to do
you do not make it DSN

I hope this helps you
