Hello
In order to optimize my application I would like to know what would be more fast and efficient form the server side: to look for a file (with content) in the server file system and read it for instance 1000 times for 1000 served web pages or to look for same content in a field of a register of a MySQL table of
a database 1000 times for 1000 served web pages?

Are there any benchmarks comparing content processing with database versus same content with flat files?

Thanks a lot
Alf

I suspect that the file system would be faster. You could probably do a simple benchmark yourself.
