I am building a record builder grid.
I have it setup to have two separate connections.
It is adding records to a table called attend.
I pick a name from a drop-down list from another connection that connect to a table called contacts.
I can add this record but I also would like to get the field contact_id from contacts table but how do I do it as it is based on the drop down selection.

You use the BOUND column to point to contact_id and the TEXT column points
to the contact_name field.

When I submit or add this to the database I need the Contact Name and the contactID into the table from the dropdown I only get the bound column.

The bound column is all that is submitted with the form. You will need to
use dlookup to retrieve the contact name matching the contactID.

Post your code here so we can look and help you determine what the problem
is.
