DataObjx Is Now Accepting Payments Via IKOBO.
We've had many inquiries about payment gateways.other than PayPal. Members in countries not supported by PayPal can now purchase CCS Developer Magazine by clicking on the "Purchase/IKOBO" link in the Members Area.
Since we've only just created the Merchant Account (Dec 1, 2004) - we will monitor your purchases and manually link CCS Developer Magazine to your account until we get the IPN code working over the next few days.
Consequently, members using IKOBO.com to complete the transaction will have as brief delay while we manually perform the required updates to the database tables. We apologize for the delay but think that those affected by the PayPal restrictions will exercise patience until we get the system automated like our PayPal gateway.
Important CCS Developer Magazine Survey.
DataObjx wants to publish articles that are meaningful to you. This magazine is your magazine and we want you to help us make it better and more meaningful to the types of projects you're engaged in.
So it's important that you participate in this survey to assist us in determining the best articles of interest in future issues of CCS Developer Magazine.
When you access the survey, you will see a number of "Potential Articles" with a check box in the left hand column.
Each check box you tick, represents a vote.
If you have an idea for an article, there's a text area at the bottom of the "Potential Articles" grid.
Add your idea regarding a "Potential Article" in this text area and click the submit button.
Your "Potential Article" will then be added to the list of potential articles and the next member viewing the options will see yours in the list.
Feel free to add more than one idea for a "Potential Article" - it is not mandatory that you tick any check boxes.
Click the link below to access and participate in the survey: http://www.dataobjx.net/surveys/default.asp?surveyid=1
>> Come back and visit the survey every few days. <<
If you see options that weren't there when you first participated, place a tick (vote) against the new options.
Try not to vote for ones you've already voted for so the numbers don't get skewed unnecessarily.
DataObjx thanks you in advance for your participation in the survey and your desire to make CCS Developer Magazine better with each issue.

I am interested in this magazine, but find the website to be awful (though it looks pretty). I got an email telling me issue 4 was ready, then go to the website and it says issue 4 is not ready. So I figire I need to log in. Does not take my password, so I figure I forgot the password. Request a reminder, never got it. So I had a friend register just to see if he could get in. He does and tries to look at the current issue. But no, there is only issue 1, despite the fact that the website says "current issue". This does not make me confident in subscribing. Tried to email you with this privately, but emails are not getting responses... sigh. A pity - I really would like for my company to subscribe. But these things must be ironed out first....

Actually, you're right on a number of points and we are taking steps daily to address each and every one of the issues you mention.
It's a huge job making improvements to the web site, producing the code for the magazine, writing articles relating to that code for the magazine, orchestrating and coordinating everything, creating and setting up a place where CCS Developers can sell their code (CCS MarketPlace), writing applications such as the CCS Developer Magazine Web Poll to improve communication with the CCS Community along with many other initiatives and so forth. It's a BIG job, believe me. But we're not complaining!
We spend every available moment working on some aspect of the site. And occasionally, the un-expected occurs and one finds that you're turned away from one thing and working on another... always at the expense of somthing else.
For instance, the forgot password request. What we've discovered, is that for some, the email is interpreted as spam and is blocked by the spam engine. 90% of the members have no difficulty, but some - like you do.
Resolution: We'll be changing the Forgot Password to a pure text email.
But the point is, while we're resolving the issues associated with the Forgot Password and so forth, something else is being neglected... such as the content on the site it'self.
Yes, you are absolutely correct, we need to update the content and make it more relevant. We probably need to make it a bit easier to locate the magazines... and we're likely going to switch those over to the shopping cart on the CCS Marketplace....
Oh, did I just mention yet another thing to do! Yep!
You must not have noticed the "Purchase" link directly below the "CCS Magazine" link on the left hand menu. You may also not have noticed the 2nd article that you see when you actually click on the "CCS Magazine" link and then click the title of that article.
But honestly, that's not your fault. We could do it better, and we're working on it.
We appreciate your comments and take them constructively and want you and the other members of the CCS Community know that we are constantly working on resolving and improving various aspects of the site, the magazine and the opportunities available to CodeCharge Studio developers like yourself.
In closing, when-ever you have an issue or comment or suggestion, don't hesitate to email us at administrator@dataobjx.net.
Please send an email to the address above and we'll resolve your login issues, etc.
If you've never attempted to run an enterprise like this, we don't expect you to necessarily understand, but we do appreciate any patience that can be extended while we try to build opportunity for the CCS Community.
