Just for kicks, I shutdown MySQL and attempted to
reload a page in CCS.

The following error information was displayed ...

Database error: pconnect(localhost:3306, dbuser, $DBPassword) failed.
MySQL Error: 0 ()
Session halted.

Is there any way - perhaps at a global level - to eliminate
the viewing of these error messages?

Good question - most of my sites ALL the content is now DB driven - so I get
nothing when the SQL server goes down, just some SQL errors...

It would be good to be able to display your own error message - something
like "Site down for maintenance - please check back soon."

Hopefully, in the next release - it can only get better. :-)
