I have been asking a bunch of questions, so I thought it was time to try to contribute something. Maybe most of you .NETters know this, but I thought I'd post it just in case.

I'm not a big fan of IIS instances at developer desks. You can use the WebMatrix/Cassini .NET personal web server successfully with CCS projects. It's a very low-hassle way to get set up for web app development without IIS at your desk or without the help of someone administering a server.

I'm using WebMatrix server for asp/asp.net on one of my PC w/XPHome (which doesn't have IIS) .
