hi,
first, sorry again for my bad english. hope you can understand my question :)
ive search so much hours for a solution, but without success
is it possible:
ive a record, one textbox of this record retrieve a value (i.e. 1234) from a URL
in this record ive a listbox. and now the croux, this listbox should be filled with values from a table. this table stores companynames (numbers) and employees like:
comp---empl
1234---bob
1234---peter
4567---martin
4567---tom
how to get only the names equal to the retrived value as values for the listbox?? (bob and peter in this case)
ive looked into the employee example but ive not found a function like this gotocode and the helpfile cant help me too. so my last hope... anyone of the cracks here can help me out.

Peter,
Open the Data Source property for your listbox, then click on the [+] button to add a Where parameter, then configure that parameter to retrieve values from the URL, for example "emp_id = {emp_id} (URL)".

thanks peterr for the answer. ive read the manual before i ask here but cant found a solution. (or i just blind and/or dumb :) )
i know the datasource/parameter window. ive spend hours to test all my ideas but like i said, without success
what i have: a record, a textbox. the textbox retrieve (before show>retrieve a value for control) a value from a url. this works. now in the textbox i have the value (1234) (<is a company id)
a bit deeper in the record ive the listbox. in this listbox i need the values like i said above. (the employees of the company they ive retrieved from the url)
i cant find out how i can get this values

How are you retrieving that value for the TextBox? I just like to know the URL parameter name.

solved! argh... so much hours:) the bad thing... ive type in the proper values in where, but so i hit live-data, nothing apears. but it works in the record after i published it.
