Any ideas. I have tried and can not. Need to get balance to update after a debit or credit.

Hi Williein,
You need to provide a little more detail here so others can help you.
I created a simple check book form myself but, it does not do a running balance column. I simply have the balance calculate in a query inside MS Access that adds the total debits/credits then displays that in a 1 row grid above the grid of transactions.
Creating a running balance might be possible in a query but, in a grid it could be difficult if the grid runs onto multiple pages.
