For years I've used Drumbeat 2000 and am looking at Codecharge Studio as a replacement. Before I shell out $500 for the software, I'd like to know if it's capable of creating a subset of records off a database from multiple search criteria and display those results in an editable table where a web browser can use a checkbox next to each record and delete any duplicate records from the search without deleting the record from the underlying database.
For example, you have a database of all the property owners in a county and you want to be able to create a list of property owners within a particular township/village whos property is located on a certain street, and has a property value say greater than $120,000. It then displays those results in a table with a checkbox next to each record that would allow you to delete certain records from the resulting list without actually deleting from the primary database. Then it would take the final results of the refined list and carry that over to a template page where it would merge this "mailing list" with a sales letter, or envelopes, or mailing labels, or post cards, etc. for the web user to print out to their printer.
I've got a working web site finished that does all this, but it was created in a different product that is not supported by Windows XP and would like to recreate this web site using Codecharge Studio. If you'd like to see it as it currently exists, drop me a reply here or send me an email torusscole@traversecitymall.com and I'll send you the url and login information. Thanks for any incite you can provide.
