I downloaded the taskman demo, im running winXP Pro with IIS. I use this connection string to point to the access database
Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0; Data Source=C:\db_files\TaskMan_MSAccess.mdb
I also tried this one, including it in the wwwroot
Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=" & Server.MapPath("\database\TaskMan_MSAccess.mdb") & ";
neither works. Please help.

Various MS Access connection strings are listed at http://www.able-consulting.com/MDAC/ADO/Connection/OLED...ForMicrosoftJet http://www.able-consulting.com/MDAC/ADO/Connection/MSRe...#MSRemoteAccess http://www.able-consulting.com/MDAC/ADO/Connection/ODBC...DriverForAccess
If something doesn't work you may want to specify what.

The problem is that the default.asp page gets stuck trying to load. The database is accessed and the ldb file is left open and undeletable because its in use by some user. That user is obviously the IUSR.

This looks like a different problem, not related to the database connection string. It rather looks like a common problem with Norton Antivirus. Are you using NAV on that computer (Web server)?
