I have been using CodeCharge to quickly create Coldfusion pages.

often I need to add little bits of code to the html editing window.

Such as :
<cfif isdefined("local")>

Once in a while before generating the pages the code changes to:
<cfif isdefined("?ocal?)>

Note that the quotation marks have changed to Question Marks.

Anybody out there know why or is this a bug?

I have had the same result, and no long add cf code to the html pane
and always add it to the code page. I also once the page has been
generated do modify the pages to fit my specific project needs and
find this way works best. I let codecharge do what it does best like
create the entry screens and do the validation and I handcode in the
sections which codecharge does not do.

I've seen quirky stuff too that once I add code to the HTML screen, if I touch that page in the IDE to add new control or ..., my <CF> stuff gets broken with funny carriage returns and symbols. I typically program CF w/o templates and I have to put in the code but I want CCS to continue to generate. The type of coding is not suitable for the events in CCS.
I wish they would look into this.
