Gday,

I would like to make a website that has the capacity to support multiple
languages.

I am using CCS, PHP and MySQL.

Visitor to website would choose language on front/splash/home page.

Who would I design the DB?

Would I set a specific number of languages (eg English, French, German,
Chinese, Japanese) and set my DB up like so:
PAGES
- id
- EHead
- EContent
- EPicture
- FHead
- FContent
- FPicture
- GHead
- GContent
- GPicture
- CHead
- CContent
- CPicture
- JHead
- JContent
- JPicture

Then how would I nominate which language? And quite hard to add languages.

Or do I do something like?
PAGES
- pagesid
- linkname
- language
LINK
- linkid
- pagesid
- linkname
- head
- content
- picture

and use something like pages.php?linkname=home?language=english
and that way I could add extra languages as required?

Sixto Luis Santos had developed a small CCS web site just for PHP/MySQL with multilanguage support.

I think I got it from RexDesign forum.
