I'm getting this frustrating error on attempting to view my live pages:Quote :Warning: mysql_connect(): Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client in c:\phpweb\swkeys2\db_mysql.php on line 101
I'm using apache on windows xp pro with mysql 4.1 and mysql3.51 odbc.
Is this a problem between mysql4.1 and CCS?

CCS 2.x doesn't work with MySQL 4.1, at least when using PHP with the "old" MySQL/PHPLib library and the new MySQL authentication.
This was previously discussed in the forums and instructions for working with MySQL 4.1 are available at http://support.yessoftware.com/kb_article.asp?article_id=75

Thank you, the instructions say to "Edit the file "Common.php" so that the new db_mysqli.php file is included in your programs." I don't see how to do that exactly.

I did add a line at the top:
Quote :include(RelativePath . "/dbmysqli.php");
but the page is still breaking.

I would gladly downgrade to mysql 3.xxx but it's no longer available. How long until CCS becomes compatible with the world's best and cheapest database server?

You can probably downgrade to MySQL 4.0, or configure MySQL to use the old authentication schema. This is a common problem and MySQL posted instructions on doing that.
Though implementing MySQL 4.1 support in CCS is probably very simple since I didn't see almost any other problems reported with that. It won't be supported much differently in next CCS versions.
What do you mean by "page is breaking"?
