Hi,

Is there a way to represent related records from two tables in the way Acces do it with the subdatasheets (nested tables?)

I tried with inculde page, but it doesnt work with grids.

The directory component could also be a solution but my related records are in a separate tables.

The table should look like:

Record 1 ID | Record 1 Value
Related record 1 ID | Related record 1 Value
Related record 2 ID | Related record 2 Value
Related record 3 ID | Related record 3 Value
Record 2 ID | Record 2 Value
Related record 1 ID | Related record 1 Value
Related record 2 ID | Related record 2 Value
Related record 3 ID | Related record 3 Value
Related record 4 ID | Related record 4 Value
Record 3 ID | Record 3 Value
Related record 1 ID | Related record 1 Value
Related record 2 ID | Related record 2 Value

PLease, any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Am really not sure what you are after?

Something like this?

country
- countryid
- country

region
- regionid
- countryid
- region

So all region records are assocaited with country records by the countryid
value?

Actually it is like representaing orders and order details, but in nested tables, where every record from the order table, has a related record at the order details table, but when representing them to the user, I want to show the details of each order just below the main record value in one table, not in two.

It is very simmilar to the directory component, but as I said my records are based in two separated tables, of course they are related with the order id, but I can not use them to build a direcory structure.

If I populate with values my example, it should look like

Order ID | Order Value | Client ID
              1| 10.00 | 1
Product ID | Product name | Product prise | Units
                   120| Vaze | 3.00 | 3
                   150| Picture | 0.50 | 2
              2| 150.00 | 2
Product ID | Product name | Product prise | Units
                   100| Vaze | 3.00 | 30
                   150| Picture | 0.50 | 20
                   050| Clock | 50.00 | 1

So You have two different orders with 2 and 3 related records for each order and it should be shown in one table!!

Thanks in advance

This looks like a report and I suspect that this can be difficult to accomplish without a reporting tool. Did you maybe look at "Simple Reporting" section of the documentation?

I don't think that the directory component could be used for this, although it may be possible to use multiple tables there (modify the data source of an existing directory).
