My 9 web pages have the Header and Footer sections working perfectly.
These Header and Footer sections are very useful of navigation.

Four of these web pages have all read-only fields, only black and white
colors and no images. These 4 pages are used when you need printouts.

With these 4 pages, is it possible to have the Header and Footer be visible
on the screen but NOT be printed? How can I do this?

You can specify the CSS modifiers media="print" or media="screen" (there are
others that are not germane to this discussion). Specify these on the
<LINK> tag and you can define separate CSS files for viewing on-screen vs
printing to a printer.

Once you have this trick in your kit, then it's easy to mark things you
don't want printed with "display: none" in the CSS declaration of your print
CSS and they do not appear on the printed page. Not only that, but you can
create entirely different layouts for printing, doing such things such as
removing borders or backgrounds that would clutter the printed page.
