Ok I have a record entry page that redirects to a new page on submit of the form. How do I add a parameter to the url such that the newly submitted record tranno field in form gets passed to the new page? I am very new to CC but used to prgramming in PHP in php I would simply add it to the redirection URL IE http://..../contrib_temp?tranno=9999. I can not figure out where in CC to make this change.

Any guidence is appreciated.

You would need to modify the $Redirect variable:
http://docs.codecharge.com/studio/html/Components/Varia...P/Redirect.html
http://docs.codecharge.com/studio/html/ProgrammingTechn...irectUsers.html

Also take a look at this page in CCS Example Pack:
http://examples.codecharge.com/ExamplePack/MultiStepReg...gistration1.php
It shows how to append a record's key to the URL of the next page.
