Its a wierd situation when I encountered it this morning. I have a website www.guwahationnet.in

But this morning I found it not browsable. The probel got worse after I found that i could not even FTP on it.

But the strange thing is that the site could be visited by my friends and others from different PCs.other than my own PC.

And I could enter throughj the Control Panel well. Found all pages and files there intact.

SO at last I reinstalled the XP Os by formatting the C drive.

But alas...

I can't still visit my own site ...

what can be the problem?? I have got dynamic IPs each time I log in to net with DSL conn.

Please think over it. I gusss nobidy gets this probels even after reformatting and eliminating any VIRUSes....

Hmm..

As you hosting this on YOUR own computer or on a different machine.

If its on a different machine and your friends can surf to it then I'd check your DNS settings first (Assuming you can surf to other sites)

If you still have problems then it could be that a DNS near you has failed or got its tables screwed up.

I often enter in the local DNS details and not rely on my IP to send them when I log onto the net.

Hope this helps

Dave.

P.s. Very nice looking site :-)

The problem solves after 24 hours

O:)
Well it seems the site is back again loading into my PC with DSL connection after 24 hours on 2 june 2005.

But, when It was occuring, I checked my DNS report with www.dnsreport.com , www.dnscheck.net etc...

Those sites replies with Green reports..that means things are going fine..except one '!' report.

Any way thanks a lot to DAVE and thanks for commenting on the site
