data link error - trouble with publishing

I created a new project using the employee dir sample files included in CCS. I haven't done anything to the files except enter my FTP server info. I deleted the intranet connection and went to create a new connection but when I try to publish, I get a data link error: test connection failed because of provider initialization error. [MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver] Access denied for user: 'dbm.ouhsccme.org@12.216.240.90' to database 'disclosure_ouhsccme_org' Continue?

If I ignore the error and try to publish, I get this error:

Generating "AdminMenu"
Generating "AdvSearch"
Error: Record AdvancedSearch -> ListBox department : The specified connection does not exist.
Error: Error occurred while generating the "AdvSearch" page. (1)

I already checked with my host and they're not denying mysql requests from my ip... My settings are as follows on the Modify Connection tab:

DESIGN TAB:

Connection Name: Connection1
Database: MySQL
"Use ODBC Data Source Name" is selected, and I'm using the ouhsccme data source name.
User name: dbm.ouhsccme.org
User password: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

ADVANCED TAB:

Catalog: blank
Schema: blank
"Show view" and "show synonyms" are checked.

SERVER TAB:

Use Limit/top is checked
PHP Database Library: MySQL
Database or ODBC connection name: disclosure_ouhsccme_org
Host: sqlc0e.megasqlservers.com
Port/socket: blank
Login: dbm.ouhsccme.org
Password: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Persistent Connection is checked

The strange thing is that my data source name tests fine in the ODBC Data Source Administrator in WIndows. I created a system DSN called ouhsccme using the MySQL ODBC 3.51 driver. When I test it, it test perfectly.

Any ideas as to why I'm getting those previous errors? Thanks in advance for reading this long post and helping any way you can! Dustin S.

You should never delete a connection when it is used on other pages. Those pages now cannot find that connection. Your new connection is not related to this problem.
You may need to recreate the previous connection that you deleted, or rename your new connection back to the name that was deleted.

The error message about "Access denied" is a separate/different problem. It is standard MySQL message explaining to you that your access is denied. See http://www.google.com/search?complete=1&hl=en&q=mysql+%...ied+for+user%22
