Go to the following URL and install the php development package. Installation is as easy as double clicking the icon. Remember to uninstall your current PHP first.

Just download the WAMP Development package and double click to install it. How hard can that be?

OK I uninstall my prior installations,... and install Wamp5, restore a backup of my old data to the new database. Bu my php pages dont display, if I replace de extension to .html it shows the layout correctly.

It dont displays an error message, just a blank page.

Im using MyODBC 3.51 for the connection... there's another way, or I'm doing it wrong?

I haven't used WAMP but there should be some documentation about how to start using PHP and test that it works. Or check the Web folder for such files as test.php or phpinfo.php , or basicaly any .php files installed by WAMP, which will tell you if PHP was installed properly and works.

I cannot find such error on Google "cant load mysql extension" but whatever error it is just make sure that you paste it into Google correctly. There are usually hundreds of answers about every error that you may get.

I use EasyPHP 1.8 on at least 6 Win PCs (2000, XP Home, XP PRO)
It installs everything you'll need & configures itself.
Never had any problems.
If you have IIS running - don't forget to stop it before starting Apache/MySql

In your earlier post, you stated:

How did you restore your old data to the new database? By copying the mysql folder over? If you did that then that is the cause of your problems.

From memory, you should only copy the .MYD and .MYI files over.

I did a backup of my DB in MySQL, then, using import that backup to the new MySQL instance.

I uninstall all MySQL and PHP, and now, I cant see my .asp pages...! I receive this error:
Server Application error
An error occurs tryin to load a process.... (this is a translation, my IIS is in spanish)

Make sure that you run either IIS or Apache and not both.

Try the brute force aproach....

copy all php extensions to winnt/system32 (win2k) folder and to the apache folder and to the root of php (c:\php for example)

I know this might sound silly but if you are lost this actualy might help.

Also copy the libmysql.dll (mysql/bin/) to apache and php root.

Thanks guy's... but after trying and trying, I found that it was a permission problem, I had to disable the anonymous loggin in IIS, so it ask me a user and pass, with access to windows, and all worked fine.

Now, I fix this, creating an account in windows, equal as the one in MySQL, and replace the IUSR_ (default anonymous account) with the one I created.
