Our university email system requires authentication before you are able to send email. I have been trying to setup an email notification from a registration page and haven't had any luck. I have not found any way to make Codecharge authenticate to the server. Any ideas?

I just want to clarify that this is not related to CodeCharge Studio as you probably don't need CodeCharge to authenticate to the server, only your PHP program. I recommend using Google to find any PHP function, class or code snippet that you may need. Here are some related links that I found: http://www.faqts.com/knowledge_base/view.phtml/aid/9820/fid/21 http://www.phpclasses.org/browse/package/14.html http://www.falkotimme.com/howtos/sendmail_smtp_auth_tls/index.php http://www.phprojekt.com/modules.php?file=article&name=...modload&sid=143 http://us3.php.net/mail (search the page for 'authentication')

Thanks for the info Peter. I have found a script that will work with our email server.
What is the best way to call the script and pass the variables I need?

I think that there is just one standard way to call functions in PHP - by typing the function name with the parameters in parenthesis.
We have an email example in our tutorial, where you can replace the call to the "mail" function with your own function: http://docs.codecharge.com/studio/html/QuickStart/Creat...SendEmails.html

Peter,
I have gotten the email script to run and send emails to a hardcoded email address. But now I don't know how to get the email address of the user who just registered. They are not logged in and I am totally confused on how to get that info.

If they just registered and you are sending email in the "After Insert" event of the registration form, then you can get the email address directly from the registration form, like: FormName->ControlName->GetValue()
Otherwise they would either need to login (you can login them automatically after registration), or they would need to type their email address into some field so that you can read the field's value.
