Apps are throwing the above error, which seems to be related to writing to an app event log. Not running Norton, but still seems to be related to local security settings.

Any ideas?

We had the same problem (on XP).

Solution:

1. Create text file (i.e. EnterpriseLibrary ( Requested Registry Access Denied Fix ).reg )
2. put the following in that file:

3. Save the file and double click on it (that will fix your registry and solve the problem).

That worked. I was receiving that error when using the Enterprise Library to write to the logs to a database.
