Does anyone maintain their databases on a filer (such as Network appliance), but serve the web portion off a server? The problem I have is that the connection string works great when everything is creates on a server where I can configure the DNS connection.

My senerio is: Create the whole app on my development server and test - then I wouold like to publish to the web server and place the database on the filer - I am not sure how the connection string would work that way though -

I would be happy to elaborate if the above makes no sense..

Thanks
