I definitely second this wish. It would be a great optional feature for text boxes.

I use FCK Editor with great success
Replacing TextArea's are a good idea but..
When you have several on a page you run int screen real estate issues as each text area require all of the buttons etc to be displayed.
Best to use something like a pop-up or other mechanism.

I don't think this is a problem, CCS controls has properties.
Why not add props with info about toolbars usage.
Ex:
Use Simple Toolbar: Yes/No
Use Table Formatting: Yes/No
...
The problem is in support - once Yes include editor, they will have to support it ... for all browsers.

Another, very easy to integrate, is TinyMCE

Ditto-This should be built in, it's not that its that hard it's just time consuming and boring. FKC or Innova's either would be fine.
Thanks

If it is the number of vote's that decide, here is mine !
FCK used in OSCommerce, good.
TinyMCE we use in our CMS, good
HTMLArea, we used to use, less ease to implemend.
Innova looks ok too, Vasily.

The problem is it must be cross language compatable, ASP, .Net, PHP, etc.
Therefore you will restricted in your choice: FCKEditor
My preference in InnovaStudio but in only supports ASP, PHP or ASP.NET.

Ok, being PhP oriented your remarks is being appreciated.
Might come in handy later.
Although it made me think.
Being restricted is the case as soon as one is using embeded coding,
something that is hard to avoid.
There are just not enough CCS coding bits to catch all language specific
manipulations.
I have often wondered why (or even better: how) to cater for switching
language specific coding resulting in truly cross platform generation.
Imaging one could do a CCSIfLanguage("PhP","code snippet")
CCSIfLanguage("ASP","code snippet") and so on.
Maybe I am not too clear in my text but take the file upload for example in
ASP you need to (taken from Fora not experience) to set Project Settings
Persist Upload (or so) and add/set some properties.
In PhP you can just go ahead and use the FileUpload.
This actually proves two things, first the text above and second a number of
WYSIWIG editors could be catered for, taking the support away from YES by
specifying one of several in Project Setting and add/setting properties for
the project.
Now wouldn't we be happy? We can use what we like and Yes has no support
effort other than providing the logic.
(Sunday thoughts)
