Are there such properties for codecharge cells. Seems that when a cell expands vertically to accept increased data, it does not shrink when the data gets less.

Bill,
Codecharge just delivers HTML code. The Browser reacts only to what it is given.
Have a look at source behind the offending screen as well as the Style sheet to see if there is any "height" parameters.
