is there a way to make my listbox so that the user don't need to hold down the contol key to select multiple values?

In case no one answers I would assume that this is not possible because Web browsers decide how to handle multi-select listboxes.
But there is a small chance that someone knows some JavaScript trick for this, or you can try searching on Google.
