CCS 2.3.xxx, php
I need to let my user to select file, upload it into my predefined directory
on the site and put uploaded relative file name into my DB. I was looking at FileUpload component but have no idea about how to put file name into DB.
Any help or example appreciated.

This will happen automatically and you don't need to do anything, just specify the database field to update in the FileUpload's properties.
