I want to incorporate a COM component, AutoImageSize by United Binary to my ASP.NET VB project.

The installation instructions seem simple enough
http://www.unitedbinary.com/AutoImageSizeDocs.html

...but I'm stumped on:
For ASP.NET users: After performing the above steps on your web server, copy the contents of the "NET Assembly" directory into your web site's bin directory. Next, reference the UnitedBinary.AIS assembly in your web application project. At this point, you should be able to take the ASP.NET sample files, put them into your web application's root directory, and run the ASP.NET demo.

I tried adding the reference to the .dll files in the project properties, but get build errors like:
could not find library ... whatever path I tried

I'd sure appreciate any step by step advice on getting a COM component working. THANKS!

There are no other steps. The only step is to use the "References" property of the project where you can add your references.

Hi

Are you add to the references COM dll file itself or the .NET wraper? Note that COM components can't be used directly from the .NET, and you should reference special wraper instead. But on the server both wrapper and COM dll files must be copied.

Thanks for the insight. I'm studying up on wrappers.
