I am creating an online accounting solution.

I was wondering the best way to create an invoice. In MS-Access, I would just create a report.

I am using CCS Personal. Do I need to upgrade to Pro?

Essentially, I need a grid that lets me have header for each group of records.

Any advice?

Dean,
If you want to do reporting and use the CCS3.0 (delivery less than a few weeks away) then you need to go Pro.

:-D

Found what Walter is referring to after I posted here. Also started playing with Panels in 3.0.54. Seems to be a simular concept.

Edd, I am thinking about going pro. CCS has been such a great product for me. I wish I got to review the report feature more in 3.0.3x before it converted to the personal edition. 3.0.54 looks at the 2.3 settings.

Depends how serious is your requirement to reports.
If you need nice reports, Crystal Reports or MS Reporting Services is the way to go.
I use both, Crystal Reports RAS + CCS3 reports, every solution has it's usage.

Vasiliy
I am steering all my clients away from Crystal unless they have an enormous amounts of legacy reports.

Licencing and the new version of MS Reporting Services has virtually killed Crystal Reports on the web. Crystal is very expensive for new clients and what I have heard it is not selling very well.

If you have Crystal there is a growing Indian software market that will convert your reports for a reasonable costs.
