I am completely STUMPED! I had a fully functional Update/Delete record that would be populated with info gathered via PK and MySQL database. It was working fine. I had to alter a couple of date fields (to have them function properly, which shouldn't have messed up the whole workings of the record). When the page with the record comes up, it was pulling the PK variable and all of its data from the URL, but if one of the fields ( It is a specific one. it contains a simple integer that selects a value in a pull down) is left blank when created, the entire record is not populated. The variable continues to show in the URL, but the data will not fill in the record. It was working fine at one point and now, nothing. Been struggling with this for days. I tried recreating the record in a new page-no go. I created new users with more privleges-nothing. could it be something in my database/table/s? Or is it a CCS /PHP thing? any thought would be very very helpful. Thanks!

Take the exact SQL statement with the id for the empty value and fire it at
MySQL using PhpAdmin or any other tool you use.
Does it give a result?

I have gone from stumped to baffled. I JUST tried it again (using the original php file-the one that I realized the problem) and it works fine. Now I'm concerned that im dealing with an instablility issue.
Thank you so much for the reply Walter! I really appreciate it. Since I cant seem to recreate the problem (yet) I will have to just keep chugging away through completion. I will post another reply if/when it somes up again. I will know more in the next 48 hours when this phase of the project is due.
BLAACH!

I spoke WAY too soon. Not working again. I ran the SQL statement through SQLyog, it produced zero results. It shows the field names with no data. no errors either. will be doing a compare. *sigh*

Think it was a join thing. Some how it was switched from left to inner. messing up the results. i would never have thought to run the SQL through yog to see what happens. Thanks for the GREAT troubleshooting tip! Will post again if the craziness continues.
