Hi, when I right click on my folder and select Property, I do not see the Security Tab needed to config the security required. I have Windows XP Pro. Where can I turn on the security tab. I know this is not CCS function, but just hope some expert in here can help me turn this feature on so I can create a test site using MSAccess database.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
You can assign security to each Web page rather than a folder. It is the "Restricted" property of a page.

No, that's not what I mean, I understood about the page security but I am using MSAccess database to create my app, and got these error messages when trying to edit my data. So as suggested by CCS FAQ, I need to add the IUSR account to the folder, but my PC do not show the Security tab I need to turn this feature up someohow.
Any other suggestions?

Oh, then you may be either using Windows XP Home edition which doesn't have such tab; or in Windows XP Pro you would need to open any folder, then go to Tools -> Folder Options -> View , then uncheck the last option "Use simple file sharing".

To display the Security tab
1.. Open Folder Options in Control Panel.
- Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Folder Options.
2.. On the View tab, under Advanced settings, clear Use simple file
sharing [Recommended].
To set, view, change, or remove file and folder permissions
1.. Open Windows Explorer, and then locate the file or folder for which
you want to set permissions.
2.. Right-click the file or folder, click Properties, and then click the
Security tab.
3.. Do one of the following:
To set permissions for a group or user that does not appear in the Group
or user names box, click Add. Type the name of the group or user you want to
set permissions for and then click OK.
To change or remove permissions from an existing group or user, click the
name of the group or user.
4.. Do one of the following:
To allow or deny a permission, in the Permissions for User or Group box,
select the Allow or Deny check box.
To remove the group or user from the Group or user names box, click
Remove.

Tried and tested.
First test went wrong, so learn: Works only on NTFS partition.

I think he's probably using the FAT32 file system.
Look in Start Menu / Administrative Tools for the Internet Information
Services tool and use that to configure things.

Wow, thanks to all who responded to my question.
FYI, as stated, I have Windows XP Professional, this is my home PC, so I guess it came that way, simple no network configuration. I will try the suggestions when I get home tonight.
Thanks again.
