hi
I am developing one student registration system.
i develop one search form where i search on the NAME. After search the record is displaying on the same page as a "record form". I have option set "insert,update" for this form.
Now the problem is If the record exists, then with some minor modification on the existing data (shoing on the record form) i want to insert new record on the same table (NOT UPDATE RECORD).It must have new registration_id value under one specified course(programme).
I am using MS-Access and ASP.

Hello,
create BeforeUpdate event where put custom code to build and execute the query that inserts the new record into the table.

But
I do not want to update my previous entry in the table. i only wants to add new record. because i want to use the data which was previously entered to the table
