Is there a way to disable paragraph breaks in design view? Everytime I hit "enter", it double spaces instead of going to the next line, and I have to go into html view to delete the paragraph code

My opinion: probably not because this is standard in all Web editors. "Enter" means paragraph, so disabling paragraphs would mean to disable the "enter" key. You should probably use the line break (<br>) = "Shift+enter".
