It's bad enough newsgroups have SPAM, why do we have to put up with it here?
Let's give "Bill" the boot and set up some sort of filter to prevent get rich
quick schemes from invading our community postings. :o

The only way to get rid of spammers is to make this a member only newsgroup. And then kick out members that spam. I hate to login every time to post because my connection sucks but I will do it if I have to.

if the forum was set up to record the poster's ip number in a hidden field that we could see by viewing source, couldn't the ones who wanted to report the spammer to his provider for spamming? megan
