Hello,

I'm newbie to CC and have just installed it.
I've tried to make simple application. I've set-up database connection and table names are listed but I see no table fields. I am using Win2K, PHP and MySQL. I've tried connecting to database with MyODBC 2.5 and 3.5. Also with DSN and DNS-less DB name. None of this worked (table names are shown but field names aren't).

Can someone help me?

Thanks.

Munja,
please submit your request at our support system.
The information above is not enough to say what happens.

There could be several reasons of this problem.

I have had this problem before, with MS Access. Try un-installing CC and re-installing. Then, reboot the computer. This fixed it for me. Also, sometimes simply rebooting would fix it. Havent had it happen in a long long time.

I am experiencing this problem with Win2k SP1, Access 2000 and ASP. None of the fields are showing up even when attempting to modify any of the examples.

Please help?

And submitting to the CC support site is not the answer!
This issue has been brought up several times with no resolution.

Cheers.

hello everyone

im having a problem very similar, the difference this time is that when i try to use any table only 2 of the 8 fields are shown or 3 of the 10 fields and so on... it never shows all the fields in the table.

im using apache 2.0.45, interbase(firebird), php 4.3.0 over a windows xp platform

the only solution to this issue was formating and reintalling windows and the other software included the CC but some time latter the incident happens again... :( what can i do?

I would suggest this is an issue with the Microsoft OS rather than CCS

Here are a few hoops I've jumped through to get applications to work (workstation video, music & 3D apps and my beloved CCS)

Re-installing the apps to a newly imaged computer and religously re-booting between each apps install

Switching Indexing on/off and then on again for the drive containing the app

Scheduling disk-checks on all affected disks to run prior to OS loading

Trying phpmyadmin to see my databases did reassure me that they were there...

Running non CCS scripts did help troubleshooting as well.

Good Luck
Dave

Same problem: on Windows XP Home Edition and on Windows XP Pro.
Reinstalling Windows sounds ridiculous to me!

Hope somebody already found a solution.

I've had this very same problem and the only way to fix it is to do an OS re-install. It seems that something in CCS gets clobbered. What's interesting is that I can see the fields when I use Access (using MySQL and the ODBC driver) or any other tool for that matter. It's just CCS that can't seem to find the fields. I've tried refreshing the connection etc.. but none of them seem to do the trick.

There is probably some database DLL that CCS uses that gets overwritten when you do an MS update cause I know when I do a fresh install it works fine on a new machine. A few days back I restarted my CCS on my current machine (hadn't used it in a month) and voila I had missing fields.

i have the same problem

are the fields that are missing variable and or text fields and the only fields showing are the numeric fields.

maybe this will help ccs techs find and solve the problem.

i was using the demo version

this is the only thing that is holding me back from upgrading from the cc to ccs
thanks

Hello. I downloaded the trail version of CCS today and I can see mulitiple instances of tables within my database, but no fields. It's interesting that users have been reporting the no fields issue problem for over a year now and support hasn't released anything suggesting possible fixes. I'm not sure I want to get into a new software package that ignores problems.

If it helps, it's a new install. Nothing installed since. WIN2K SP3, ODBC Connection - Oracle datbase (Remedy). Tried Microsoft oracle driver as well as Oracles driver. No fields. Multiple instances of the same table.
