Elma

I'm having exactly the same problem when users paste content from word into a textarea - apostrophes seem to be the cause of the problem. Did you ever find the answer to this, or can anyone else help?
Thanks

Hi..

I use MySQL but have had a similar issue.

I got around it either by 2 ways.

1. Writing a little filter to conver single ' to double '. Or I think that putting a forward slash brefore the ' will save it as a single ' in the db. Either way it a little conversion vb code.

2. Define the DB field as a memo rather than a string. That was CCS's internal ADO code will use a parameter rather than a string ans process it accordingly.

Hope this helps - have a look for escape codes for SQL for problemaic characters ' "
