How do I remove this meta content from html file ?

Just delete that line in html, it's just meta tag.

If you wish to remove this from all of your HTML files, you could use the CCS Replace in Files feature. Bring up a page with the meta tag. On the Menu go to Edit->Find and Replace->Replace in Files. Fill out the appropiate information and replace away.

Which appears to do something but when you look at the files they are not any different.......

If what you say is true then support should be notified. This is a documented CCS feature and it should work properly.
