We would like the calendar component to automatically retrieve only calendar events pertaining to the current month. Currently all events are pulled from the database and only those matching the current month are shown. This results in long delays or even timeouts when there are many events in the database.
We've been working with the support with many issues but couldn't get a clear response on this one. It may be a bug or limitation. The support recommends to implement custom WHERE clause via an event which is fine as a workaround but shouldn't be required.

I have to agree with support on this one. You may want to test your current SQL statement on the server and see if it is built for efficiency (is your table indexed or are you using an indexed field in your query or is there a better way to write the SQL statement).
