I am new to CodeCharge so this issue I am having is potential operator error...but might not be.

I am creating and editable grid using the intranet.mdb datbase that comes with the trial. I am using employees and departments.

The Visual Query Builder builds the query correctly and the data appears to be correct.

When I run the page I get an Invalid CFML Construct error. This error does not appear to be affected by my insert, delete, update selections. I can turn those off and get the same error. When I use the non-editable grid the grid displays correctly with no error.

I have pasted the error below.

Invalid CFML construct found on line 135 at column 79.
ColdFusion was looking at the following text:
#

The CFML compiler was processing:

an expression beginning with "departments_employeesRows", on line 135, column 50.This message is usually caused by a problem in the expressions structure.
the tag attribute "Value", on line 135, column 42.
a CFMODULE tag beginning on line 135, column 10.
a CFMODULE tag beginning on line 135, column 10.
a CFMODULE tag beginning on line 135, column 10.
a CFMODULE tag beginning on line 135, column 10.

The error occurred in C:\CFusionMX7\wwwroot\_Sites\NewProject2\NewPage2_departments_employees.cfm: line 135

133 : <CFSET arWhere=ArrayNew(1)>
134 : <CFLOOP INDEX="r" FROM="1" TO="#countEditRow#">
135 : <CFMODULE Template="CCToSQL.cfm" Value="#departments_employeesRows[r].#" Type="#ccsString#">
136 : <CFSET arWhere[r]="=#CCToSQL#">
137 : </CFLOOP>

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

James

I'd submit this to support but one thing to look at.

Since you are using ColdFusion. Make sure your data doesn't contain a # sign in it as that can hose things up at times.

Backup your project
Put in a <CFOUTPUT>mydept: =#departments_employeesRows[r].# <br></cfoutput> before line 135 so you can see the data being sent the routine CCToSql. Regenerate the file

DO NOT SAVE THE FILE in this mode as you've broken the auto generate when you type in the 'grey areas'. Just close the page when you are done playing around without saving
